Enrolling Your Child
Encounter Lutheran College invites prospective families to book a personal tour of our College with the Principal Kelvin Grivell. This is an informative way of experiencing “first-hand” what we offer our students and families and the “community-feel” of our College.
We have major intakes in Early Learning, Foundation and Year 7 with limited vacancies available in all other year levels.
Applications to enrol your child at Encounter can be submitted at any time. We encourage early applications to increase the likelihood of securing a place for your child in your preferred entry year. This will incur a $50 application fee.
Upon the receipt of your child’s application, an interview will be arranged with the Principal or relevant Head of School.
A formal written offer of enrolment will occur and will only be confirmed upon receipt of the applicable completed documentation and the payment of a $500 enrolment deposit.

EXPLORE FOUNDATION GROUP TOURS
Due to the expansion of our Early Learning Centre into our brand new facility at Lighthouse Early Learning, we’re excited that our Foundation facility has doubled its size for our incoming Reception students to Encounter!
Additional places are now available for 2025! Come and take a look and explore our new expanded facility at a special tour with our Head of Junior School, Tori Weiss and Principal Kelvin Grivell.
Your 45-minute tour will provide you with an in-depth overview of our Foundation program at Encounter. You’ll get to explore our beautiful, expanded Foundation classroom, outdoor learning area, as well as take a peek at some of the other amazing facilities that our Foundation students love to enjoy, including The Nest (library). We can’t wait to show you around!

Fees
It has been Encounter’s focus to ensure that our fees are kept at a reasonable level while endeavoring to provide quality facilities and resources for the students who attend the College. We believe that whilst we maintain a reasonable level for our fees, we are continuing to develop and grow the facilities of our F-12 College, meeting the demands of a growing College and the requirements of new buildings and new resources.
Upon enrolment of their child(ren), all parents/caregivers enter into a contract including an Agreement to pay the fees and Encounter continues to develop a variety of payment arrangements to assist our families. Direct Debit is the most popular, however Credit Card and Centrepay are all acceptable methods of payment.

Principal's Scholarships
Encounter Lutheran College offers a Principal’s Scholarship which is open to all enrolled Middle & Senior School students of the College. Applications open towards the end of Term 3 and close early in Term 4 which are awarded for the following year. This is the only Scholarship offered at Encounter Lutheran College.
To be eligible for a Principal’s Scholarship, applicant’s must be enrolled at the College. Click here to submit an Enrolment Application Form.

Bus Service
Encounter Lutheran College provides a bus service for families throughout the Fleurieu Region. This service gives priority to permanent users who have completed and returned a Bus Transportation Application Form, and who are travelling to and from their place of residence.
Although the College will make every effort to accommodate a variety of student needs this may not always be possible. All bus routes have a maximum capacity, and no further applications will be considered once the maximum number of students has been reached.

Willunga Charters is Encounter Lutheran College’s partner for our bus services.

Willunga Charters takes our student’s safety seriously and has an App which provides families with peace of mind knowing where their child/ren are along our bus routes in real time. The Willunga Charter App allows parents to have real time information on their children and whether they have boarded or deboarded, where it occurred and at what time. This app allows parents to see at a glance where the bus is along the route and have access to historical information.
The Willunga Charter App is available via the Apple Store or Google Play for your device.
Bus passes are required to board and if your student happens to lose their pass or their pass no longer works, a new card can be purchased from Encounter’s Student Services.

OSHC (YMCA Out of School Hours Care)
YMCA OSHC provides a safe, fun, and stimulating place for children before and after school as well as Vacation Care during the school holidays. Encounter Lutheran College OSHC provides children with a mix of physical activity, creative and artistic projects, and opportunities to rest and play in a safe and engaging environment, led by quality educators.
