Years 10 -12
Senior School at Encounter is a time when you will begin to make choices for your future beyond secondary schooling. It is a very exciting time, and it is our aim to provide a wide variety of subject choices, with a supportive and nurturing environment in which to study them.
We know how important these choices are.
Choosing courses that will enable you to follow your career pathway, provide options for your future, and are appropriate for who you are and where you want to go in life is very important.
At Encounter Lutheran College, we will assist you in considering the range of options available from Year 10 to Year 12, and plan a program of study tailored to your particular needs.
You may not yet know exactly what you want to do when you leave school, or you may already have a dream you yearn to follow. Either way, at Encounter Lutheran College we aim to provide you with opportunities for learning both in the academic program and a range of activities that will provide pathways for a positive future.
You are a cherished gift from God, and the College aims to support you to make an informed decision by identifying your gifts and talents in planning for your future. We encourage you to plan your senior school subjects and SACE course around your personal strengths, interests and the career direction you hope to follow. Where possible, career planning is an important part of the subject selection process. Some subjects have pre-requisites and specific requirements for entry into tertiary institutions, so it is advisable to consider these when making subject choices for the SACE.
