A range of opportunities are available for volunteering at the College. Click here to register your interest to volunteer at one of the upcoming activities.
Volunteer Requirements
The health and wellbeing of our community is our top priority, and so all Encounter volunteers are required to complete and maintain arrange of activities and certifications. To become a Volunteer you will need to:
- Read the Volunteer Code of Conduct (Available Here) and Child Safe Policy (Available Here).
- Complete a Registration Form located at the bottom of this page.
- Attend a Volunteer Orientation Session.
- Provide an unrestricted Working With Children Check – Available Here.
- Provide a Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (Fundamentals Only) certificate – Available Here.
- Provide an I’m Alert Food Safety Training certificate (only required upon request for volunteers involved in catering activities): FREE Online and Interactive Food Safety Training Program (imalert.com.au)
Volunteer Orientation Sessions
Volunteer Orientation Session are held regularly and upon request. To arrange a time, please contact Nicola Harlow, People & Culture Manager, at people@encounter.sa.edu.au.
Looking After Our Volunteers
Encounter volunteers add so much value to our College and we are committed to providing them with a safe and welcoming environment. While undertaking approved activities our volunteers are insured in case of accident or injury.
