Allied Health

Encounter Lutheran College welcomes external Allied Health Professionals who support the learning, wellbeing, and development of our students. 

To ensure a safe, well-coordinated, and compliant visit, all new practitioners to the College must follow the process outlined below.

Before you book

Please ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance (certificate of currency required)
  • Parent/carer consent for each student you intend to see
  • Commitment to communicating all session dates/times through the College’s approved channels
  • Compliance with the College’s Policies, expectations around confidentiality, information sharing, and child safety.

What you can book

Allied health workers may request access to:

  • A Quiet room or small meeting room
  • A Classroom (in consultation with teachers)
  • Specialist spaces (e.g. Gym)
  • Outdoor areas (where appropriate)

Spaces are subject to availability. 

Booking Process

Junior School Booking Process

1. Email our Junior School Inclusive Learning Coordinator, Ben Chesser ben.chesser@encounter.sa.edu.au the following:

  • Details of the student you want to see
  • Proof of approval from parents
  • Preferred times and dates you would like to meet with the student (subject to space availability and student timetables)
  • Any other notes (e.g. support needed, type of space required, etc)

2. Email People & Culture, people@encounter.sa.edu.au the following:

  • WWCC
  • RRHAN-EC
  • Certificate of Currency (insurance)
  • Copy of Registration

3. Our Inclusive Learning Coordinator(s) and our Administration team will review:

  • Compliance documentation
  • Space availability
  • Suitability for on-site support

4. You will receive confirmation or a request for additional information*

*Bookings are not approved until written confirmation is provided by the College and all required certificates and qualifications have been verified. 

Changes to bookings should be communicated to our Front Office team as soon as practicable.

Middle & Senior School Booking Process

1. Email our Middle & Senior School Inclusive Learning Coordinator, Jen Biscoe (jen.biscoe@encounter.sa.edu.au) the following: 

  • Details of the student you want to see
  • Proof of approval from parents
  • Preferred times and dates you would like to meet with them (subject to space availability and student timetables)
  • Any other notes (e.g. support needed, type of space required, etc)

2. Email People & Culture, people@encounter.sa.edu.au the following:

  • WWCC
  • RRHAN-EC
  • Certificate of Currency (insurance)
  • Copy of Registration
