The vibrant community of students, staff, and families, united in learning and growth.
A Culture of Belonging
At Encounter, we believe every child should feel safe, valued, and connected. We cultivate a culture of trust, respect, and care, ensuring that every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Teachers Who Know and Inspire Their Students
Our teachers are more than educators—they are mentors, role models and lifelong learners. Passionate about their calling, they are committed to inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and supporting the unique needs of each student.
A Seamless Journey from Early Learning to Year 12
Encounter offers an uninterrupted education on a single campus, providing students with consistency, stability, and the opportunity to build lifelong relationships with teachers and peers. We are intentional about transition points from Early Learning to Foundation and from Junior School into Middle School, recognising these as important times of celebration, change and opportunity. Our holistic approach ensures they graduate as confident, compassionate and capable young adults, ready to make their mark on the world.
A Community That Grows Together
Education is a partnership between school and home. When a student joins Encounter, their whole family becomes part of our community, walking alongside us in a shared journey of learning, faith, and growth and we take this very seriously. It truly does take a village to raise a child and Encounter sees itself as a critical part of your child’s village.
Our commitment to environmental stewardship, fostering a sustainable and green future.
Experiential and Outdoor Learning
At Encounter Lutheran College, we value learning that goes beyond the classroom. Through hands-on, outdoor experiences and a carefully designed camp and outdoor education program that spans from Foundation to Year 12, students build confidence, resilience and a love for learning in real-world environments.
An Inspiring Coastal Location
Our stunning location in Victor Harbor is more than just a backdrop—it’s an extension of the classroom. With a focus on environmental sustainability and outdoor learning, we encourage students to connect with nature, care for the world around them, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the environment. Having acquired 69 acres of land adjoining our original campus, we now have an evolving opportunity to create a legacy for future generations of Encounter through various revegetation projects. We are also walking distance from the beach which enables us to embrace diverse learning and wellbeing opportunities.
The mission that drives us, nurturing faith, knowledge, and compassionate global citizens.
An IB World School offering PYP and MYP Curriculum
Encounter Lutheran College acknowledges the Ramindjeri people of the Ngarrindjeri Country as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work and learn. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
