Foundation

Sports Day is usually a very tiring day for our younger students.  Therefore, lunch will be from 1.00pm and Foundation students may be collected from 1.30pm, from their classroom.  For parents unable to collect their children earlier, quiet activities will be set up in the classrooms for students to go on with.

Junior & Middle/Senior School

Students will be dismissed from the bottom oval by 3.05pm and may be collected as per a normal school day.

OSHC

Before and after school, OSHC will run as normal. Students attending OSHC in the morning will be walked to the classrooms by OSHC staff so they can have their morning attendance recorded.

Recess & Lunch

The Foundation to Year 3 Sports Day Program has scheduled breaks. Older year levels will have time throughout the day for food breaks.  Please refer to the program.

Foundation to Year 4 students are to bring their own recess and lunch.

Year 5 and 6 students can either bring their own or purchase from the stalls listed below.

Middle/Senior School students will be able to purchase their own recess and lunch from the stalls listed below during the day during break times.

There will be a range of food available for purchase on the day, including:

  • BBQ Trailer – sausage sizzle, soft drinks.
  • Meal Hub - little pizzas, ham and cheese croissants, sushi, sweet treats and drinks
  • Brew Box – coffee van, croissants and sweet treats
  • GPS Café – Hot and cold drinks, muesli, wraps, curry, pastries and sweet treats

There will be no Subway or ice block orders on Sports Day.

Students are to bring their College hat and plenty of water for the day.

Parent Volunteers

To assist with the smooth running of our Sports Day we are seeking parent volunteers (who have completed their Volunteer Orientation) to assist with some Sports Day events in years 4-12. We are also in need of volunteers to assist with food preparation and sales on our food stalls.

Further details about where event volunteers are stationed and at what time will be provided in due course.

Please contact our Event Coordinator, Patrina Grace, at patrina.grace@encounter.sa.edu.au to discuss volunteering at Sports Day.

Car Parking

Parents and students will be able to park in the front and rear College car parks. Additional parking is available on the southern side of Aldi.

Seating

Please feel free to bring seating or picnic blankets.

Dogs & Animals on College Grounds

As is usual practice, dogs are NOT permitted on College grounds. Please refer to the ‘Animals on College Premises Policy’ concerning the management and regulation of animals on College premises.
