Dance Program
Encounter's Dance Program offers a dynamic and inclusive pathway for students from Years 1 to 12 to explore and develop their passion for dance, with opportunities ranging from foundational skill-building in the Junior School to specialised training and performance experiences in the Senior Years.

Specialist Dance Program 7-12
Junior School Dance Program
Years 1-6
Junior School Dance Development (Years 1-3) and Dance Team (Years 4-6) dance groups work towards a showcase performance in Term 4 with some other opportunities to perform at school events. Students work on developing their ability to work in a team, gain confidence in performing, use expressive movement and learn the foundations of dance techniques.
- Cost: $100 per student
- Rehearsals: 1 lunchtime per week
Specialist Dance Program
Years 7-12
Specialist Dance is offered to students in Years 7-12 and acceptance to the program is by application. The program centres on strengthening technique and performance capabilities for students studying dance and pursuing performing arts. Students also have opportunities to perform and compete at community and dance events. A commitment to these performances is a requirement of the group.
- Cost: $200
- Rehearsals: 1 lunch time per week
