Celebrating our 2026 Student Leaders

By Julian Schubert | Marketing & Communications Manager

On Friday 7th November, the Encounter Lutheran College community gathered for a special Whole College Assembly to honour and install our 2026 Student Leaders.

This annual tradition is a cherished moment in our calendar, where we pause to acknowledge the contributions of our outgoing captains and welcome the new cohort who will carry forward the values and vision of Encounter.

Student leadership at Encounter is more than a badge—it’s a commitment to serve, inspire, and uphold the spirit of our College. As we look to the future, we celebrate the legacy of those who have led before and embrace the energy and promise of those stepping into these roles.

Honouring Our 2025 Leaders

Although our 2025 Senior College Captains were unable to attend due to Year 12 exams, their impact was deeply felt. Evie French and Henry Weiss, along with Deputy Captains Tiani-Rose Jamieson, Alexis Bruce, Karly Wood and Jordyn Tuesley, were acknowledged for their passion, enthusiasm and selfless leadership throughout the year.

Our 2025 Junior School Captains, Harriet Wegener and Joshua Mullette, were also celebrated for their maturity, organisation and energy in leading our youngest students.

Welcoming Our 2026 College Captains

We are proud to announce our incoming College Captains for 2026:

  • Senior College Captains: Brodie Cross and Lola Turner
(Installed earlier at the Year 12 Final Shine)
  • Junior School Captains: Theo Fishlock and Lucy Hambour

These students have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and a deep understanding of what it means to serve with humility, integrity and compassion. Their induction included a blessing led by Pastor Nigel Rosenzweig, affirming their commitment to lead in the spirit of Jesus—serving others and fostering a community where all can thrive, connect and belong.

House Captains for 2026

House spirit is alive and well at Encounter, and our House Captains play a vital role in building camaraderie, encouraging participation, and leading with pride. Congratulations to our newly installed House Captains:

Their voices, actions and example will shape the year ahead—and we are confident they will do so with grace and strength.

To all our new leaders: we believe in you, we support you, and we look forward to the incredible impact you will make.
