As our Graduating Class of 2025 begins to adjust to life beyond Encounter we are delighted to celebrate the exceptional university offer outcomes achieved by our Class of 2025. These results reflect not only the hard work and dedication of our students, but also the strength of the academic and pastoral support provided throughout their senior years.

100% SATAC Offer Success

For study commencing in 2026, 28 Encounter students applied to university through SATAC, and we are proud to share that every single applicant received a university offer — an outstanding 100% success rate.

Even more impressively:

  • 24 students (86%) received an offer for their first preference, a significant increase from 66% in the previous year
  • 2 students (7%) received their second preference
  • 2 students (7%) received their third preference

This strong improvement in first-preference offers is a testament to the thoughtful course selection, careful planning, and personalised guidance provided to our students — particularly through the dedicated course counselling support led by Andrew Weiss and Mel O’Donnell, whose expertise has played a key role in helping students make informed and confident post-school choices.

Diverse Pathways, Bright Futures

The breadth of courses offered to Encounter students highlights the diverse talents, interests, and aspirations within the Class of 2025. Offers were received across a wide range of disciplines, including:

  • Science – 6 students (21%)
  • Business / Commerce / Finance – 5 students (18%)
  • Education / Teaching – 4 students (14%)
  • Health Science / Sports Science – 4 students (14%)
  • Psychology / Counselling – 2 students (7%)
  • Nursing – 1 student (3%)
  • Criminology / Criminal Justice / Law – 1 student (3%)
  • Engineering – 1 student (3%)
  • Health Industry (e.g. Physiotherapy) – 1 student (3%)
  • Agricultural Studies – 1 student (3%)
  • Politics / Philosophy / Economics – 1 student (3%)
  • Information Technology – 1 student (3%)

These results demonstrate the College’s commitment to supporting a wide range of academic pathways, ensuring each student is equipped to pursue a future that aligns with their passions, strengths, and vocational goals.

Celebrating Success

We congratulate the Class of 2025 on these outstanding achievements and wish them every success as they take the next step in their learning journey. Whether heading into university study or other post-school pathways, we are confident these young people are well prepared to make a positive impact in their chosen fields.

At Encounter Lutheran College, we are proud to walk alongside our students as they discover who they are, where they are called to serve, and how they can shape their future with confidence and purpose.
