SACE Art Show Success for Class of 2025 Visual Art Students
By Harriet Geater-Johnson | Middle & Senior School Art
We are delighted to share some wonderful news and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 12 Visual Art students from the Class of 2025.
Following their selection for the prestigious SACE Art Show, Karly, Abi and Issy recently had their Stage 2 Visual Art final works exhibited in the city as part of this highly regarded showcase. The SACE Art Show highlights some of the very best student artworks from across South Australia, celebrating creativity, technical skill, and the unique perspectives of young artists working across a wide range of media.

A particularly exciting highlight is the recognition received by Issy, who was awarded the Minister for Human Services SACE Art Show Poster Award. This significant honour means that Issy’s artwork will be featured as the official promotional image for the 2026 SACE Art Show. Her work will be displayed across a wide range of materials and settings, including schools, institutions and public venues throughout South Australia in the coming year.
Issy’s piece, Semi Detached, is a thoughtful and deeply personal ceramic work that explores themes of family, culture and belonging. Through a series of carefully crafted earthenware terrace houses, she combines hand-painted glaze with delicate imagery drawn from family photographs. The work reflects her connection to her family’s heritage in Northern Ireland and Scotland, using the repeated house form as a powerful symbol of home, identity and shared history across generations.
We are incredibly proud of Karly, Abi and Issy for their commitment to their artmaking and the way they have represented our College with such creativity and excellence. Their inclusion in the SACE Art Show is a testament not only to their individual talents, but also to the dedication and passion they have shown throughout their studies.
Congratulations once again to these talented young artists on their remarkable achievements.
- The 2026 SACE Art Show runs from 18 March – 10 April, 2026
- Light Square Gallery, Adelaide College of the Arts
