From the Acting Principal: "Rising Needs, Stronger Support" by Jon Grear
I recently read an article by Linda J. Graham of the Queensland University of Technology. It was noting the growth in adjustments required for disability in schools. Her thoughts came from a recent national report that has revealed that 27.2% of Australian students now receive disability-related adjustments at school, compared with 18% in 2015. These adjustments are designed to help students participate in learning on the same basis as their peers and can include strategies such as rest breaks, modified assessment conditions, assistive technology, specialised support staff, or personalised learning programs.
