Hender Consulting is recruiting a Principal for Encounter Lutheran College, a co-educational Early Learning to Year 12 college located in state-of-the-art facilities at Victor Harbor on the beautiful SA South Coast. This is a unique opportunity to lead a respected and successful educational entity with a student population of over 700 students.

Encounter Lutheran College is a co-educational, Christ-centred school delivering contemporary, holistic education from Early Learning to Year 12.  Located just one hour from Adelaide in Victor Harbor on the beautiful SA South Coast, the College offers contemporary facilities and dedicated staff for more than 700 students to thrive, connect and belong.  Blending academic excellence with wellbeing and innovation, Encounter creates an environment where students are empowered to be themselves and embrace the opportunities life has to offer.

Reporting to the Board, the Principal will work to deliver on the College’s strategic priorities while further enhancing the strong pillars of this Christ-centred learning environment.  Key responsibilities include:

• providing vibrant, progressive learning within SACE and IB (PYP and MYP) frameworks, preparing students for tomorrow’s challenges;
• leading, empowering and developing outstanding educational, operational and support staff;
• championing the College while fostering inclusive community spirit and managing key stakeholder relationships;
• building deep, authentic relationships between staff, students, parents, key stakeholders and the wider community;
• living and promoting the Lutheran values and ethos of the College as an authentic model of faith-based education;
• building, enhancing and maintaining state-of-the-art educational facilities while ensuring strong governance over financial and physical resources.

Applications are encouraged from experienced educational professionals with excellent communication, leadership, strategic planning and commercial management skills.  These skills will be complemented by a spirit of adventure, innovation, integrity, authenticity, humility, and passion to inspire staff, students and the broader school community.  The successful candidate will be a committed Christian keen to immerse themself in the Lutheran faith to model the ethos of the College.
