This Sunday, 30 November, students from Encounter Lutheran College’s Specialist Basketball Program will head to the Gold Coast to compete in the 2025 Footlocker Australian School Championship. Two teams will proudly represent Encounter on the national stage: our U20 Men and U17 Girls.

The Australian School Championships is Australia’s premier secondary school basketball competition and one of the most highly attended school-based sporting events in the country. Held over a full week, the tournament brings together more than 1,700 students from across Australia to compete at an exceptional level. Participating in this championship provides our players with invaluable experience and exposure to some of the highest standards of school basketball in the nation.

  • U17 GIRLS: Ruby B (10), Charlotte B (7), Elise B (9), Leila C (9), Lilly M (8), Shari N (10), Grace T (8), Pepper W (8), Gracy W (10)
